John T.

John T. first graduated from the Career Readiness Workshop in October 2019. At the time, life was challenging, but he never lost sight of his desire for change and improvement.

Over the years, John committed himself to personal growth, overcoming struggles with alcohol and drug use, and staying focused on his long-term goals. His determination paid off in a big way: on June 28, 2025, John proudly graduated with his bachelor’s degree!

In May 2024, John was ready to take charge of his financial future. We stayed in touch and worked together on creating a savings plan. John enrolled in the Rocket Wealth program, stayed consistent, and by the time he graduated the Rocket program he was able to receive the Rocket Wealth Match Funds. In addition, he has saved approximately 4 Months of income. John is in the process of becoming the first JobsWork MKE Member that will take his place as a New Volunteer Mentor in Q3 of 2025.
